Lownsbrough Bert

Dear Neil
We are writing to give our sincere thanks for the love, respect, support and friendship you and your wonderful family has shown to us following the recent loss of our dad , Bert Lownsbrough
We came to you without hesitation as you had dealt with my uncles funeral for us 8 years ago before you had your family business. We knew from that experience that we could have every confidence in you
As you will recall dad passed late on saturday evening in December in a hospital at the opposite end of the country from you and i hadnt a clue what to do. You took the phone call calmly and compassionately took me through what i had to do- ever mindful of me and my familys feelings.
The complexity of moving Dad from where he was to St Helens and making arrangments at a distance, the constant phone calls and questions from me about who to have as a humast celebrant, how to get the music my son composed played at the crematorium and so on and so on were all dealt with who ever answered as if we and dad were the most important people in the world . This meant a great deal
There are some of our experiances i would like to highlight
* You listened, Every time we spoke to a member of your team we felt that they knew us and most important they knew dad
* Your beautiful Mum and the way she reassured my son and his girlfriend even helping Holly to POP in and say her goodbyes to grandad
* Your style, Always professional, never stuffy, hugely respectful, caring and sincere
*The way every time we spoke to one of you, you took time to ask how we were
* Your claim to be a family business. THIS IS ABSOLUTE . For that short space of time when we were at are most needy
In my professioal life i am Head of Customer Services for an organisation and i can be critical if businesses are not customer focused and getting it absolutely right for people at the worst times of their lives cannot be easy but you and your team did just that
We would like to wish you and your family all the best with your 'TRULY family business for many years into the future. Thank you all once again for your love and kindness
Yours sincerely
Di and Mike Smith and son Robert
